Meriden School Strathfield Redevelopment
Development of a five-storey Design and Creative Arts Building with state-of-the-art learning facilities for senior students
Artea Green Ventures (AGV) provided independent environmental auditing services for the redevelopment of Meriden School Strathfield, in accordance with State Significant Development (SSD) requirements.
The project involved the construction of a new five-storey Design and Creative Arts Building, designed to provide dedicated spaces for Visual Arts, Design and Technology, Engineering, and Hospitality programs. AGV conducted comprehensive environmental audits, verifying compliance with SSD conditions and reviewing environmental management systems, site operations, traffic management, noise mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. Audits ensured that construction activities minimised disruption to students, staff, and the surrounding community, with critical-path works scheduled during school holidays and “no-noise” periods.
Coordination with Buildcorp and Strathfield Council supported safe site access, logistical planning, and adherence to regulatory obligations. AGV also reviewed the integration of lessons learned from the recently completed Meriden Centre of Music and Drama, ensuring the new building leveraged best practices in construction methodology, sustainability, and educational functionality.
Detailed technical reports documented compliance, findings, and recommendations to support continuous improvement and sustainable project delivery. Through independent verification, AGV reinforced the project’s commitment to environmental performance, regulatory compliance, and the creation of a modern, inspiring, and safe learning environment for students.
