Artea Green Ventures Advances Strategic Partnerships and Environmental Initiatives in Western Visayas
Artea Green Ventures (AGV) continues to strengthen its collaborative efforts with academic institutions and local government units in Western Visayas, marking significant progress across several key initiatives in the provinces of Aklan and Capiz.
A major development came during the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) deliberation with the UAP Aklan Chapter, where discussions concluded with a positive consensus among stakeholders. The proposed partnership is now awaiting full approval from the Board of Directors, signaling a promising collaboration ahead between AGV and the local professional community. This partnership is expected to support joint initiatives in sustainable development, planning, and environmental stewardship.
In parallel, AGV held productive discussions with Dr. Renacido, Campus Director of Aklan State University (ASU) – New Washington, who formally endorsed the development of a provincial state university MoA. This endorsement marks another step forward in AGV’s strategy to work closely with academic institutions to strengthen research, innovation, and environmental programs across the region.
Further progress was achieved during the Aklan Province Hydro Intelligence System (HIS) Technical Working Group (TWG) formation meeting, where core provincial departments were confirmed as lead agencies. Key provincial offices—

including AKENRO, PDRRMO, and PPDO—will spearhead the initiative, working closely with AGV in shaping the project’s direction. The next milestone will be the approval of a Proof of Concept (PoC) by Governor Joen, which will allow the rollout of a pilot HIS demonstration model across six municipalities in Aklan.
AGV also conducted a site assessment at Watershed #4 on Boracay Island, an important activity supporting the organization’s environmental monitoring and sustainability initiatives in the region.
The assessment aims to strengthen watershed management strategies that protect Boracay’s ecological resources while supporting long-term environmental resilience.
Meanwhile, a breakthrough meeting was held with Capiz State University (CAPSU) President Dr. Linan and Dean for Campuses Villaruz, resulting in plans for a broad institutional partnership. The forthcoming MoA—soon to be released for review—will establish a collaborative framework between AGV and all nine CAPSU campuses across Capiz Province. The formal signing is tentatively scheduled for April 15 at the CAPSU Main Campus, marking another milestone in AGV’s expanding network of academic partnerships.
These developments highlight AGV’s ongoing commitment to building strong partnerships with universities, government agencies, and local stakeholders to drive innovation, sustainability, and community development throughout the region.
